SpaceX/xAI IPO Fueled by Compute-Rental Deals
Ahead of a $1.77 trillion IPO, SpaceX has secured significant cloud-computing revenue by renting excess capacity from its Colossus complex to Google and Anthropic. Anthropic has agreed to pay $1.25 billion monthly, while Google will pay $920 million monthly for access to at least 110,000 Nvidia chips. These deals provide a substantial revenue stream for SpaceX, though both contracts include provisions for early termination.
